Frequent discoveries and inventions have made it possible to upgrade our entertainment system.  Gone are the days when entertainment meant sitting in front of the TV watching reruns of old soap operas.  Today when people say entertainment systems, this has become synonymous to home theater surround sound systems.  There are a lot of options to choose from when deciding what type of home theater set-up to choose from.  Here are some of them.

If you have a large room, then a component system that comes with 5-7 speakers can adequately cover the room.  These types of home theater surround sound systems will most likely be on the expensiveside but these gadgets can also multi-task as most of them can be tapped to computers and other audio devices.  There are also cheaper models with less speakers and gadgets to choose from which may be more wallet-friendly.

The component type of home theater surround sound systems have three speakers which can be set up in the front and another two which are placed at the back of the room.  These speakers compliment and support each other in order to produce the best sound and audio effect possible.  The two at the back are usually the surround speakers that provide the background noise and sound effects for the movie or music.  Some systems have sub-woofers which can be installed in the front.  These type of speakers produce low bass sounds.

Other options for the home theater surround sound systems include wall and ceiling speakers which can be mounted for an even more dramatic sound effect.  These typesof systems are usually more expensive and professionals who install speakers may be needed in order to correctly set up these kinds of speakers. 

A very good and simple way of getting good sound with out breaking the bank or having a coplicated set-up is to get a three speaker component options for your home theater surround sound systems.  As the name implies, there will only be three speakers to set up.  This type is ideal for small rooms.  These speakers can also be wall mounted and are usually composed of two speakers and a sub-woofer.
